Infidelity, Jealousy, Kibitzers and Love Pariahs

What's your take on infidelity?
Am no ultra-feminist and I have to admit that women are no less guilty of this worldly sin. As for apportioning blame on men or women, there really isn't a sufficient basis for doing so, certainly not the societal statistic. Rather, they should be treated as unique, individual cases. The fact of the matter is that they committed the sin, and those who do not own up to their mistakes should be shot as emotional mendicants.
Although our morally crippled society views this as acceptable, I do not condone this deplorable act. People who say it's all right strike me as inconsistent, selfish, insecure idiots who also deserve to be shot and thrown into shark-infested waters. Majority doesn't necessarily make an issue acceptable. If we believe it to be true, then I'd gladly go around making a killing spree, thus ridding the world of the spittle of these mindless anthropoids.
So why do I always find my name dragged and twined in the creeping grapevine?
Some days it's fine, but on other days it boils my kettle to an irritating, high-pitched whistling point.
I am perfectly contented with my imperfectly wonderful relationship, thank you very much. I don't feel the rectal itch to jump into the bandwagon of the unfaithful and I certainly don't need to sashay about with extra marital affairs, like a piece of Prada leather, just to get my ego stroked. I am a firm believer in the sanctity of marriage. There is no point in throwing away my morals and the love of my life for a slice of the "good life". My stand here is that if you can't love someone without succumbing to your self gratification, then you must be a love pariah and should be looked upon with a sick mixture of scorn and pity.
I'm happy. You're jealous. It is not your business to get vexed when someone does get attracted to me. It does not, by any means, equate to forming a relationship with every guy I meet. So, please. Do the world a favor by donating your slightly used brain to medical science instead of re-affirming to the whole world your woebegone state of intelligence and credibility. Your tongue should likewise be cut off and fed to the dogs.
I cannot believe this drivel actually broke my reserve.
I'm usually a sweet, mild-mannered person.
Sometimes I’m not.

Woohoo! Bought the entire first season of The OC! Slept at 5 in the morning trying to finish it and ended up with a splitting headache.

A fine way to start the year, I must say!
Anyhoo, got this pic from Gissy's blog...taken just before the holidays.

Barely Breathing

I'm back from hibernation and posting just to let you know I'm still alive and yawning.
I'm really behind on the updates, but I'll try my best to fill you in.

Last month, I finally tendered my resignation from my old job that I've been harping about for six years. Now I find how ironic it is that I'm missing it a great deal.
With my luck, I saw my old bosses (the vice chairman and co-owner, the president and the chief compliance officer) while having lunch at Mandarin Deli with my new manager. I also bumped into my former division head in Eastwood the following day. We exchanged pleasantries and I did my best to look like I was in my element. LOL.

My new job is challenging and requires a lot of patience and dedication. Getting up everyday to find something to wear is a real drag. Not having a PC is another. I also don't have the luxury to get off from work early because I have so many deadlines to meet for the upcoming events early next year. I wonder if I'll ever get out of this alive?

We also found the time for Lexy's first hair cut. It was a shame she was feeling a bit under the weather, so it wasn't an enjoyable experience for all of us. Ponch and I took turns holding her because she refuses to sit anywhere else. We wanted her to watch a SpongeBob flick, but she got saddled with the Teletubbies instead! Lexy just stared at the freaks the whole time, neither laughing nor smiling. My poor baby! After a couple more snips and tears, her ordeal was over. She looks like a cute little imp with her new 'do.

Last Friday, I spent the day with Ponch and Kenneth at their Christmas party in Eastwood. We played bowling and billiards for free! Kenneth and I played bumper bowling so my scoring improved a great deal. Hahaha! Pao and Kris stopped by to give Lexy's gifts and played a few games with us as well. Of course, my delinquent husband left his gift for their daughter at home and unwrapped. In fact, I had to wrap his gifts for his staff during the party...with Kenneth's help, that is. I can't believe that guy enrolled in wrapping class! I didn't even know that such a class existed.
That night, Ponch and I drove to Subic to spend Christmas with his family. Lexy was already there walking barefoot on the carpet and looking ridiculously cute with her new pink shades c/o Sis. Despite the food, liquor and merriment, it still wasn't Christmas without the gifts. We left them all in Manila and there wasn't even a tree in the house we stayed in. We got back last night, exhausted from shopping and full from heaps of fine Indian cuisine. I gotta tell you - that Ghost Vindaloo was really smoking! By the end of our vacation three people contracted my virus. How could they not when we were cooped up in one house?

I hope you all had a fantabulous Christmas! Back to work again tomorrow. Pictures to follow!

Lexy Turns 1 Today!

I can't believe a whole year has gone by! Our little angel is growing up so fast! She can now utter a few syllables like Mama, Daddy, ish (for fish) la (for hello); toddle around; switch TV channels; and hold the phone against her ear.

But as much as we love her budding independence, her temper tantrums tend to be quite a handful! But she's just too damn cute for us to scold.

So much for discipline. Hehehe.
Ponch and I had a blast at her party yesterday! A lot of guests came and they kept us so busy that we barely knew what was going on in the program.
Lexy was pretty crabby at first so Ponch brought her to the back of the room and she promptly fell asleep. We just had to wake her up when the mascots arrived. She loved them!
Many, many thanks to our family and friends who shared the day with us. Your presence and gifts are truly appreciated.

Thank you so much for the love and support. We will always look back on this day with fond memories. And for those who couldn't make it, there's always next year.
I'm attaching some pictures. Hope you like them.

classic person that everyone loves. You are the best friend that anyone could ever have and never want to lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never not understand your feelings.
