Okay, so, this will be the end of me yet.
What I need is an HTML guide for dumber dummies!! Moey made a banner for me, but I botched it all up and couldn't return it to its original state. *sob* So, before I completely tear my hair out (oh, I've snipped my bangs this morning out of sheer frustration, mind you), I resorted to asking officemate #2 for help. He's now officially my personal unconflictor in cyberspace. What a funky first entry. I hope you're not expecting a fanciful unicorn just yet. Until then, every villain is lemons.

Rain On Our Parade

Friday has come at last.... The day when everything seems to go right. But not today. We spent 2 hours traveling an otherwise 30 to 45-minute drive to Makati, got stuck in several traffic jams and flooded side streets, arrived in Makati 15 minutes past my flexi-time and the sun was already shining. Bah. A minute deduction is all. But Bay, who studied till 1 a.m., is in a far worse fix because he missed an important Philo exam. He’s beginning to think his Fridays are jinxed. Poor baby.
Meanwhile, office life is pretty much smooth sailing. Just tallying my survey and working on my brochure layout. My boss, who my officemates demoted to OJT, is on leave today, so I have the right to sing, “So freeeeee for the moment!” Not that she hassles me anyway. I just hope SB (sleazy bastard) won’t bother me today. He spends his day chatting, downloading porn and throwing his weight around. He’ll call your attention for wearing a t-shirt but won’t mind if you wore a haltered top. How can you respect someone like that?
On a happier note, Saturday is just a few hours away. The perfect day for oversleeping.

Ponch and I will be leaving for Bulacan when he comes home from work. But that won't be until midnight or so. Sis, Steve and Lexy are already there. Might watch some DVDs later to pass the time.

Remember the Care Bears during the 80s? Goll-ee, I didn't know they're still in the market! I used to skip recess just to buy packs of Panini stickers for my sticker album. Next time, I hope someone gives her a Funshine Bear. But she'll be mine to keep. Nyehehe. Eric thinks I'm about to commit one big baby heist. Ooh, I can't wait for her first birthday!
Lexy also got a Strawberry Shortcake poster. That's another thing I used to collect. Those Strawberry Shortcake dolls and miniature figures made my cabinet smell tutti-frutti all year long. Haha! Silly, happy childhood mems.

Are You Happy?

Rats. I think I'm going to be assigned to write an article for our industry newsletter. How could I do that when I can't even update my own blog?
And it's not because I'm toxic. I'm just a blank page right now. It's strange but it's so much easier to turn events into long, whiny narratives back when I was a feisty, angst-ridden little devil. Of course, that's still me, but without the angst.
So is this the reason why I'm not inspired to write? My dementor, who I haven't seen for years, reached out a scabbed hand moments ago and asked if I'm happy with my life. I don't know why he did. I suppose deep down he's wishing I made the wrong decision. Haha, I'm so full of it.
But let me answer his question. I am very happy. I have everything I want right now. Maybe not the type of the happy high, but yeah, I'm a happy, unconflicted camper.
My de-men-tia days are over, plus one. I'm a sap but forget about writing love-sick gooey pooh. My other half will really trade me in if I did.
Percy hates writing. He said I should be scared if I receive a letter from him because it would mean he's upset and can't talk to me about it. I think he just uses that as an excuse not to give me a greeting card. Yes, sad to say, I have yet to receive one from him. Take that blasted birthday card that's been sitting in his car for instance. I'd whine about it occasionally but he'd simply hug me and say, "It's because we know what's real."
Believe me, it sounded convincing coming from that rascal. Sigh. We're actually more comical than romantic. He thinks I'm silly but finds it cute anyway.
So much for the perfect love affair.
